Brentford got the point to see them safely in the Premier League (PL) next season in this lack-lustre Premier London Derbies (PLDs) match. They are 16th with 36 points from 36 games sandwiched between Everton (37 from 36) who had 8 points deducted, and Nottingham Forest (29 from 36) who had 4 points deducted. Ivan Toney has not scored in 10 games but Fulham could not either in this one.

Chelsea are the latest PLDs Club to take West Ham United apart in this West v East London match. The Blues played fast, fluent football with a smile on the faces of their young attackers. In contrast the gloom on the face of Hammers’ Manager David Moyes deepened. Jarrod Bowen had a hat-trick of hitting the bar, but his teammates, particularly defenders, looked disinterested and disorganised.
These were the last two PLDs matches of this 84 matches 2023-24 PLDs season. Top Club are Arsenal with 24 points from their 12 games, precisely 2 per game. Close behind them are Chelsea with 23 points. Both Clubs had 7 wins, but Arsenal one more draw. Fulham with 16 points were a long way back but they did beat Arsenal.
We shall be back following the final round of PL matches on Sunday 19 May when Arsenal, Chelsea, Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham United have a lot to play for.
Until then enjoy the end of the season, Andrew at PLDs.
