“Four Festive season PLDs matches but few goals.”

There have been four Premier London Derbies (PLDs) matches over the Festive Season starting with West Ham United (0) 0 v 1 (0) Fulham on Saturday 27 December 2025. The Hammers huffed and puffed but could not match the pace of Fulham’s Antonee Robinson. The only goal came on 85 minutes by Raul Jimenez assisted by Harry Wilson. Once again The London Stadium had the biggest crowd in London (62,464) but the majority went home unhappy and wondering what 2026 will bring.

On Sunday 28 December 2025 it was Crystal Palace (0) 0 v 1 (1) Tottenham Hotspur at Selhurst Park in front of 25,186 fans. The Eagles had more of the game and played better football until the last 15 minutes but could not score. Spurs had scored their goal through midfielder Archie Gray from a set-piece 42nd minute corner. A good day to score your first goal for the Club and give your Head Coach a very welcome boost.

On a cold New Year’s Day evening it was Crystal Palace (1) 1 v 1 (0) Fulham with 25,111 at Selhurst Park. The Eagles started strongly, scored in the first half (J-P Mateta on 39), but faded after the hour. Fulham substitute Tom Cairney equalized on 80 minutes and The Cottagers could have won the match late on. A point apiece means Crystal Palace have not won for 4 games while Fulham are unbeaten in 4 over these last weeks.

The second PLDs match on 01 January was Brentford 0 v 0 Tottenham Hotspur. If Spurs – without an inform goalscorer – have resorted to set-pieces for goals then playing against a side whose former set-piece coach is now Head Coach leads to one result. Goalless draws are however a great rarity for Spurs in the Premier League (PL) but being goalless is likely to become more common. Brentford had the moral victory.

There are no PLDs matches in the next round of PL matches.
