Another workmanlike performance by Fulham gave them a deserved point against Arsenal. Fulham took an early lead which they held throughout the first half of increasing Arsenal pressure on their goal. The Gunners’ equalizer came early in the second period and was their 23rd from a corner since the start of last Premier League (PL) season. They could not find a winner and remain 3rd with 29 points.

Another shambolic display by Tottenham Hotspur saw them squander a 2-1 half-time lead in dire fashion. Two penalties are meat and drink for Chelsea’s Cole Palmer who has now scored 12 penalties consecutively in PL matches. Both were awarded as the result of poor tackles by Spurs midfielders Pape Mater Sarr and Yves Bissouma who now has a one match ban for 5 yellows. The Blues were really out of sight by the time The Lilywhites third goal came from their two misfiring stars Son and Maddison.
The next Premier London Derbies (PLDs) match is in West London, Chelsea v Brentford on Sunday 15 December 2024. Brentford have won all 3 of these matches at Stamford Bridge since coming up into the PL – 0-2 in 2023-24; 0-2 in 2022-23 and 1-4 in 2021-22 season. This season may be different with The Bees having had 6 away defeats and 1 draw in the PL so far, and Chelsea flying high although not invincible at home.
Until next time, “Keep Safe” and enjoy your football, Andrew at PLDs.
