Fulham, who played in our last Premier London derbies (PLDs) match 2 weeks ago are back in the firing line in our next PLDs match. This time they really are away, and at the London Stadium against West Ham United on Saturday 7 November 2020. This fixture was not played last season and indeed has only been played once in the last 4 with a 3-1 home win in season 2018-19 when the Cottagers were last in the F.A. Premier League (FAPL).
West Ham United have started the season reasonably with 8 points from 7 matches and have won, drawn and lost at home already. They have played 2 PLDs matches, both away in North London with a defeat against Arsenal and a famous come-back draw against Tottenham Hotspur. Incidentally congratulations to their Harry Kane for his 200th goal for the Club in his 300th Club appearance on Thursday in Europe.
FAPL form has been poor as we know for Fulham with 3 home and 2 away defeats and an away draw before their 2-0 home win against fellow promoted side and strugglers WestBromwich Albion which lifted them out of the bottom 3 on Monday. Will that be enough to get them something at the London Stadium? Betting suggests a win for the Cottagers will be a stiff task, with Paddy Power currently giving odds of 10/3 for a Fulham triumph, but we shall see.
Until next time, remember “Hands, Face, Space” and keep safe, Andrew at PLDs.
