“Fulham’s late-late show stuns Brentford.”

90+2 Wilson, assist Traore                                   26 Janelt, assist Norgaard

 90+7 Wilson, assist Robinson

Yellows: Wilson, Munoz                                                Roerslev

Played Monday 4 November 2024 at Craven Cottage, attendance 24,931.

Brentford were not the only ones stunned by Fulham’s two goals in added time which gave The Cottagers a win when defeat seemed so likely. Welsh International Harry Wilson, himself a 82nd minute substitute, did the damage with close range goals in the 92nd and 97th minutes. In fairness Fulham did have 26 shots to Brentford’s 5 trying to overcome The Bees’ first-half goal scored by Vitay Janelt’s crisp 25-yards shot. The result means Fulham move up to 9th place with 15 points.

They are back in Premier London Derbies (PLDs) action on Saturday 9 November 2024 when it’s Crystal Palace v Fulham. The Eagles followed up their first Premier League (PL) win of this season in the PLDs match v Spurs with a 2-2 draw away to bottom Club Wolverhampton Wanderers. They will be eager to impress their home fans again. Both Clubs have won one each of the 4 encounters since 2018-19 season and failed to score in the matches they have not won. Another draw is likely.

Then on Sunday 10 November 2024 it’s arguably “The Big-One” of Chelsea v Arsenal. Both of these most successful PLDs Clubs have identical PL records with 5 wins and 18 points but Chelsea are 4th with a +8 goal-difference to Arsenal’s +6 in 5th. The Blues have 2 wins and The Gunners 3 in this PLDs battle since 2016-17 season. There will be goals, incidents and disagreements. It will be very close to call.

Until next time, “Keep Safe” and enjoy your football, Andrew at PLDs.
